During the commissioning phase of a plant, the involved staff has to deal with many details. Fulfilling all requirements of technical and statutory guidelines, while reporting this information in a correct and sustainable manner usually results in a lot of paperwork.
For every piece of equipment there are many checks which take a potentially long time to complete. Single tags are tested against the features defined in check records, deviations are recorded in so called punch lists. All this paper data has to be transmitted back to the right IT system at a certain point in time – which naturally again means a lot of effort.

With UBIK, many intermediate steps are eliminated. It starts with finding the right piece of equipment, since UBIK navigates the user to the relevant point of interest. Once the worker is standing in front the desirable object, typical reports like check records are no longer documented on paper, but all the data can be directly entered on the mobile device.
